Opportunities and benefits of studying in Ukraine: the ‘Education of the New Ukraine 2.0’ conference for senior secondary school students to be held in Kyiv

On 8 June 2026, the ‘Education of the New Ukraine 2.0’ conference will take place in Kyiv for senior secondary school students who are choosing their future educational and career paths. The event will bring together around 300 participants from various regions of Ukraine.

The conference will provide a space for open discussion about education, careers, and opportunities for young people in Ukraine. Participants will be able to talk to representatives from government and business, as well as Ukrainian and international lecturers, and ask questions about choosing a specialisation, employment prospects, and career development in their country.

One of the central attractions will be the interactive exhibition of study programmes, ‘Alley of Opportunities’. Leading technical universities and educational institutions will present modern study programmes, laboratories, student projects, and areas of specialisation. Secondary school pupils will gain first-hand insights into a variety of academic disciplines and develop a clearer understanding of the opportunities associated with pursuing higher education in Ukraine.

A special focus of the conference will be the ‘National Network of Talent Hubs in Ukraine’. As part of this initiative, the Fund of the President of Ukraine is developing the Map of Talent Hubs as a national interactive platform for prospective students, current students, their parents, and Ukrainians abroad. It is designed to systematically showcase Ukrainian higher education institutions, their educational opportunities, infrastructure, and academic achievements. Such a tool will help young people compare options, better understand the strengths of universities, and make informed decisions about studying in Ukraine.

During the conference, particular attention will be paid to practical experience, professional development, the student community, and opportunities for young people to contribute to changes in the state, the economy, and science. For school leavers and prospective university applicants, the conference offers an opportunity to explore educational pathways, gain valuable insights before applying, and engage directly with experts from the fields of education, business, and human capital development.

We invite pupils in Years 10 and 11 who are deciding on their choice of educational institution and future career to take part. Participation is free of charge, but prior registration is required.

Registration is open until 4 pm on 4 June 2026. The event programme and registration form are available at: https://eventteam2004.wixstudio.com/newedu2026.

Registered participants will receive further details regarding the venue and participation.

The conference is jointly organised by the Office of the President of Ukraine, the Fund of the President of Ukraine for Education, Science, and Sports, and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

Background

The Fund of the President of Ukraine for Education, Science, and Sports was established to develop and support talented young people. The Fund works to ensure that Ukrainian schoolchildren, students, young researchers, athletes, and teachers have greater opportunities for learning, professional development, international cooperation, and self-fulfillment in Ukraine. The Fund’s areas of work include: presidential awards and scholarships for outstanding academic achievement, supporting young people’s participation in national and international educational and scientific programmes, attracting foreign professors to Ukrainian higher education institutions, and developing partnerships with Ukrainian and international institutions.

At the heart of the Fund’s mission is the development of Ukraine’s human capital: supporting individuals who have already demonstrated exceptional achievement while creating opportunities that enable talented young people to pursue education, research, professional growth, and personal fulfillment in Ukraine.
