The SportOsvita website — student sports map — has been launched in Ukraine
The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the State Institution “Agency of Mass Sport of Ukraine”, the Fund of the President of Ukraine for Education, Science, and Sports, and the All-Ukrainian NGO “Innovative University” have launched SportOsvita — student sports map.
This is a digital interactive tool for prospective students, student athletes, parents, universities and sports communities. On the platform, users can search for Ukrainian higher education institutions by region and sport, view an institution’s profile, photos of sports facilities, available sports clubs and a description of the infrastructure.
The current version of the map contains data on 104 higher education institutions, photographs of 165 sports facilities, and information on 48 Olympic and 127 non-Olympic sports. The data covers 28 categories of sports facilities: indoor halls and arenas, halls for martial arts and strength sports, fitness centres, stadiums, outdoor pitches, water sports centres, venues for mind sports, multi-purpose complexes and partner training centres.
SportOsvita helps student athletes choose a university with confidence. Prospective students can see in advance where training facilities are available, which sports the institution supports, and whether the infrastructure aligns with their educational and sporting goals.
For the state, the map provides a factual basis for decision-making in student sport: the development of sports clubs and leagues, support for student athletes, the modernisation of infrastructure and the return of young people to an active student life on university campuses.
