The Fund of the President of Ukraine helps Ukrainian scientists and start-ups find partners in the UK

Ukrainian scientists, start-ups, and innovative teams can apply to participate in the international platform UK–Ukraine ResearchBridge—an initiative of UCL Innovation & Enterprise, supported by the Fund of the President of Ukraine for Education, Science, and Sports. The project helps find partners in the UK and launch joint research and innovation projects.

UK–Ukraine ResearchBridge is a platform that develops and supports practical projects between Ukrainian and British scientists and innovators in areas of mutual national interest. The initiative helps identify partners in the United Kingdom and launch interdisciplinary research and innovation collaborations with tangible, real-world results.

The platform aims to strengthen sustainable partnerships between universities, research institutions, companies, start-ups, civil society organisations, and the public sector, as well as to facilitate knowledge exchange and attract new funding. UK–Ukraine ResearchBridge is part of a 100-year partnership between Ukraine and the UK in science and innovation, and all areas of activity are aligned with Ukraine’s WINWIN Global Innovation Strategy 2030.

The key thematic areas of UK–Ukraine ResearchBridge include:

  • EdTech and knowledge development: technology in education, inclusive STEM education;
  • Data, AI, and sovereign LLM: responsible use of data and AI development for government, education, and innovation;
  • GovTech and JudicialTech: digital transformation of government and judicial systems;
  • Green Recovery and Reconstruction: clean energy, circular economy, climate resilience;
  • AgriFoodTech: sustainable agrotechnologies and food security;
  • MedTech: medical technologies, digital medicine, and biomedical innovations.

The platform is open to researchers at any stage of their career, start-ups, innovation and R&D teams, representatives of business, civil society organisations, as well as interdisciplinary teams working at the intersection of science, policy, and practice.

If you are interested in finding partners in the UK or developing a joint research or innovation project, you can apply via the UK–Ukraine ResearchBridge platform.

Detailed information and the application form.

The initiative is implemented by UCL Innovation & Enterprise with the support of the UK Science & Innovation Network, the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, and the Fund of the President of Ukraine for Education, Science, and Sports.
