The Fund of the President of Ukraine Presents the “I Am Here” Campaign at the Ukrainian Youth Forum on Youth Day
On 12 August, Kyiv hosted the Ukrainian Youth Forum marking Youth Day — an event bringing together representatives of state institutions, youth and civil society organisations, international partners, and engaged young people.
The forum became a space for dialogue on opportunities for young people in Ukraine, their role in community development, the realisation of their own ideas, and their contribution to the country’s resilience. The event brought together young leaders, representatives of youth organisations and communities, military service members, veterans, volunteers, athletes, young professionals, entrepreneurs, and students.
The Ukrainian Youth Forum was opened by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. During the meeting, he spoke with young people and presented state awards to young Ukrainians. Representatives of state authorities also addressed participants, including Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk, Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhii Koretskyi, and Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Matvii Bidnyi.
A special part of the forum was a dedicated space of thematic and partner locations built around practical opportunities for young people. As part of the “Market: fair of opportunities,” Ukrainian and international organisations, as well as the Fund of the President of Ukraine for Education, Science, and Sports, presented their programmes, initiatives, and tools.
At the forum, the Fund presented the “I Am Here” information campaign, aimed at supporting young people’s choice of Ukraine for education, growth, and professional fulfilment.
At the heart of the campaign is a young person’s personal decision: to study in Ukraine, develop their skills, build a career, form teams, work with new technologies, and be part of change in their own country.
Forum participants could share their own “I am here to…” story and post a photo on social media, tagging the Fund. Everyone who took part received branded Fund merchandise.
The Fund’s team also prepared a themed crossword for participants. Its questions covered education, science, and sport, as well as the work of the Fund of the President of Ukraine for Education, Science, and Sports. Participants who solved the crossword correctly and found the keyword were also entered into a prize draw for branded Fund merchandise.
The Fund’s participation in the Ukrainian Youth Forum was an opportunity to showcase programmes and initiatives that help young Ukrainians discover new educational, scientific, and sporting opportunities, as well as to engage participants in live interaction through interactive activities.
For the Fund, it is important to create a space where young people can become direct participants in the conversation — sharing their own views, showing why they’re here, and discovering new paths for growth in Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Youth Forum was organised by the Council on Youth Affairs under the President of Ukraine together with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, with financial support from the Hepatica Foundation, organisational support from the NGO “Platform for the Development of Youth Initiatives,” and in cooperation with the Office of the President of Ukraine.
