Adviser – authorized representative of the President of Ukraine Olha Budnyk, took part in the discussion “Learning under stress: Israel’s experience”
Because of the military aggression that Ukraine is facing, it is often compared to Israel. In Ukraine, such a threat can also become a permanent reality, and we must be prepared for possible dangers, including after victory. Safety is already the most important component of all spheres of life, and teaching children safety measures and rules of behavior must take place on an ongoing basis. In this aspect, Israel’s experience can be a useful source of learning.
That is why, in September, with the assistance of the President’s Fund for the Support of Education, Science and Sports in partnership with the Embassy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel, together with a delegation of educational managers, they had the opportunity to study how the safety rules work, how the psychological support service works and how the principles of a safe educational environment are implemented.
In order for even more people to learn about key security principles and Israel’s experience, an open online discussion “Learning under stress: Israel’s experience” was invited the authorized adviser of the President of Ukraine on the issues of the Fund of the President of Ukraine for the Support of Education, Science and Sports, Olga Budnyk, a psychologist dealing with trauma and post-trauma in children and adolescents, the head of the Hibuki-therapy project in Israel, Daphna Sharon-Maksymov, and the Head of the Evaluation Department and response to emergency situations of the Ministry of Education of Israel Serhiy Kalnov.
