The First National Talented Youth Forum (part 4)

🔬 Science is the driving force of the future!
Every year, Ukrainian youth achieve significant success in the natural sciences, winning medals at international Olympiads in biology, chemistry, and geography. Their research and discoveries are already making a significant contribution to world science.
🌍 A Nobel Prize winner addressed the participants
🔹 Paul Nurse, a Nobel Prize winner in physiology or medicine, addressed young scientists, emphasizing that biological research is the key to solving global problems of humanity. He shared his own experience of scientific discoveries and encouraged Ukrainian students and schoolchildren to develop science in their country.
🏆 Awards for the best in biology, chemistry, and geography
The awards to the winners of international and all-Ukrainian Olympiads in the field of natural sciences were presented by Dmitry Komarov, the host of the program “The World Inside Out”. He noted that natural sciences open up new horizons for humanity, and knowledge of geography helps to understand global processes occurring in nature and society.
🧊 At the Edge of the Earth: How Ukrainian Scientists Explore Antarctica
🔹 Yevhen Dykyi, Head of the National Antarctic Science Center, gave a unique presentation dedicated to the work of Ukrainian scientists at the Academician Vernadsky Station. He spoke about:
✔ Climate change and its impact on the planet
✔ Ukrainian studies of the flora and fauna of Antarctica
✔ Prospects for scientific cooperation with international centers
⚡ Why is this important?
Ukrainian schoolchildren and students win medals at international biology, chemistry, and geography Olympiads every year.
Research in these areas helps to combat global challenges such as climate change, the energy crisis, and the search for new medicines.
Ukraine is an important participant in global scientific research, particularly in the fields of Antarctic research, ecology, and biotechnology.
🧪 The forum showed that Ukrainian young scientists have enormous potential and are already influencing the development of global science!
